Elise Corwin, a member of the Class of 2006, tragically and unexpectedly passed away on April 14, 2020, just two days after her 32nd birthday. For any of those lucky enough to have known her, she was incredibly special to anyone she met and touched the lives of so many, both personally and professionally.
Elise was a cherished member of our community, touching many lives with her kindness and dedication. As a proud graduate of Ohio State University with a BS in Nursing, she devoted herself to patient care at St. Rita's Medical Center, even volunteering in the Covid unit during the pandemic.
To honor her memory, classmates and family joined together to create the Elise Corwin Memorial Scholarship, awarded to students from Lima Central Catholic pursuing careers in the medical field. Congratulations to Caitlyn Purvenas, the first recipient of this scholarship. Your dedication reflects the spirit of service and excellence that Elise embodied.

Our 2nd NHS group, led by Caitlyn Purvenas, included Libby Simmons, Ava Hefner, Claire Janowski, Teagan Helmig, and Hayley Chambers. These students focused on spreading positivity throughout the school! They started the year off with putting positive signs up in the girls bathroom, based on the season of the year. They then put sticky notes with positive messages on the cars of both students and staff.
