On this 3rd day of NHS Student Leadership Week, we will showcase our second of four group projects.

Emily Blankemeyer (Secretary) guided her group, consisting of JJ DeClercq, Lauryn Falke, Jaylon Patton, Michael Quatman, Brevan Stolly, and Lincoln Woods, on a special assignment at Our Daily Bread. They cleaned up the Kidz Corner and added a bookcase and paintings that they painted to make it more welcoming. Great job, Team Emily!

Miss Brunelle’s Sophomore Theology class took learning beyond the classroom as they presented their research on how Catholicism is lived out in cultures around the world

This project is more than just a presentation, it’s an important step as they begin building the skills and confidence needed for their Senior Capstone projects. We are proud of their thoughtful work and the way they continue to grow in faith, knowledge, and understanding.

We were honored to welcome Mr. Matt C. Huffman '78, Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, to Lima Central Catholic to speak with our Teen Leadership class!

Speaker Huffman shared meaningful insights on leadership, resilience, and making a positive impact. Mr. Huffman offered our students real-world advice they can carry with them well beyond the classroom. His message challenged our students to grow as leaders, serve others, and stay grounded in their values.

As a special surprise, students even had the opportunity to speak with Governor Mike DeWine by speakerphone, an exciting and memorable moment for everyone involved!

As a proud supporter of School Choice, we are incredibly grateful for the work Speaker Huffman has done to advocate for opportunities that benefit students and families across Ohio.

Speaker Huffman is a true example of what it means to be a Thunderbird, and we thank him for taking the time to invest in our students!

As we celebrate NHS Student Leadership Week, we'd like to highlight all the good work that NHS has done this past year. Our LCC NHS members are required to complete ten extra hours of service to our school.

Each week, our NHS members volunteer their time tutoring inside and outside the classroom. Most of them tutor after school on Wednesdays from 2-3 in the Quatman Room.

Yesterday our Jazz Birds participated in a "Jazz Festival" hosted by Bath. Our students performed with Bath's and Ohio Northern Universities Jazz Band. The audience included all of the performers as well as St. Rose and Bath middle schoolers.
The event concluded with a Q+A for the high schoolers to talk with ONU students about music in college!
