Happy President’s Day, Thunderbirds 🇺🇸
Fun fact: Theodore Roosevelt became president at just 42 years old, reminding us that leadership can begin at any age when guided by purpose and service.

A special thanks to Romi Wisser from the Lima YMCA who came in yesterday to show Mrs. Thompson's yoga students how to do some body balance! What a great way to workout first thing in the morning.

🐾 Mrs. Gronas & Hope 🐾
Mrs. Jessica Gronas, Director of Guidance at Lima Central Catholic High School, and her therapy dog, Hope, have been quietly making a difference on campus since 2019. In a busy, noisy world, Hope offers students and staff calm, comfort, and connection; no talking required.
Recently, Mrs. Gronas led a training for school counselors across the state, sharing her presentation Therapy Dogs: Four-Legged Friends Silently Supporting Students in Schools. She walked fellow counselors through the process of training and certifying a therapy dog, gaining administrative buy-in, and using therapy dogs to support student and staff well-being. The unexpected connections (and the smiles) make it all worth it.
Thank you, Mrs. Gronas and Hope, for extending this impact beyond LCC and into schools across Ohio.

Mrs. Thompson's Advanced Geometry class finished their quadrilateral presentations. Each group chose a unique way to help their classmates review for the Ch. 6 test. They played Connect 4 for rectangles, Don't get kicked out of the Rhombus, Claw Machine for the squares, Bingo for Trapezoids and Kites, and Jeopardy for polygon formulas.
