WOW! What a great season Mu Alpha Theta has had this school year. We competed in the OCTM, AMC 10-12, 6 Ohio Math League contests and 4 Catholic Math League contests. Students challenged themselves and learned how to problem solve. Congratulations to our outgoing officers for a job well done: Alexa, Jacob and Emily! And, congratulations to our officers for next school year: Lucy B and Olivia V! Way to go, Thunderbirds!!!!

Before Easter, our Concert Choir and Jazz Birds took a trip to Philadelphia, PA. The students got a chance to go to two professional jazz performances, celebrate mass at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, visit historical and art museums, perform for a nursing home as well as reorganizing their storage room, go on a dinner cruise down the Delaware River, and a jazz clinic with professional jazz pianist; Keith Chasin, and of course had a real Philly Cheesesteak (or two)!
The students had a wonderful time and enjoyed all of the lovely things that the City of Brotherly Love had to offer!

Mr. Kahle's Theology class held a passion reflection on Holy Thursday in the chapel. Students read the passion narrative and did a prayerful reflection on “what to place at the foot of the cross”.

Our LCC students brought the Stations of the Cross to life in a powerful and moving way, reflecting on Christ’s journey with reverence, faith, and purpose.

Claire Wolfcale proudly represented LCC at the Chrism Mass celebrated by Bishop Daniel E. Thomas at Holy Rosary Cathedral. Held annually during Holy Week, the Chrism Mass is a significant liturgy in which the bishop blesses the holy oils used in sacraments such as Baptism, Confirmation, Anointing of the Sick, and Holy Orders, including the consecration of the Sacred Chrism. The Mass also highlights the unity of the diocese as priests renew their promises of service.

The 4th Catholic Math League contest of the year is the last one for our season. How appropriate that our top 3 scorers are all seniors! What a way to end their high school math contest career. Jacob Raczynski came in first place, Dante Turney was second and Alexa Heffner in third place. We couldn't be more proud of these dedicated, hard working students! Way to fly high one last time!!!
