The SOS/Gatekeepers Club is a student-led group focused on increasing mental health awareness, reducing the stigma associated with talking about life problems, and suicide prevention. In September, we devote a week towards making connections and helping students know that they matter. The last day of our "Start with Hello Week" (September 23rd) is a suicide prevention walk where we pair up seniors/freshmen and juniors/sophomores. This year we've teamed up with Brooke Dudgeon from "You Matter." Brooke lost her son, Brady, several years ago, and her mission is to help people know that it's not weak to speak. Brooke has designed an LCC "You Matter" t-shirt that our students can purchase for the walk. If students choose to buy a t-shirt, they may wear it on September 23rd with their uniform bottoms. The $15 for the T-shirt will be going towards the "You Matter" cause. Click here to learn more about the good work that Brooke has done. Here is the link to purchase a T-shirt: https://youmatterlcc.spiritsale.com. There are 2 colors to choose from. Please get your order in this week. The deadline is this Friday, September 2nd.
