The Shawnee Optimist Club held the Optimist International Essay Contest. Senior, Olivia Garver, won FIRST PLACE and senior, Nicholas Chambers, won THIRD PLACE! Both students will receive cash prizes and Olivia's essay will move on to the Ohio State District Level contest.

CP Biology classes and the Anatomy/Physiology class were given a presentation about cancer by Dr. J.J. Sreenan ‘83. They were able to look at various types of cancer by examining tissue samples with Dr. Sreenan’s guidance.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Simmons, Adilena Howell, Madeline Brunner, Kristie Evans, Aidan Scheckelhoff, Karlee Helmig and Isabella John on having their artwork accepted in the Kewpee High School Invitational Exhibition at Artspace/Lima. This exhibit features the best art from students around the region! The Opening Reception will be Friday, February 11, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The exhibit will be on display from February 11 through February 26, 2022, during regular business hours. ArtSpace is open from 10:00 to 5:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
Mr. Stolly’s Geometry students, Aaron Hutchins, Braedon Lybarger & Kaitlyn Seffernick volunteered to complete 3 problems on the board (Finding Areas of Sectors) Once completed they demonstrate solutions to the class. Thanks to all of the students who volunteer during class time!
