
We wrapped up Positive Addiction Week last week with a talent show and volleyball game! What a fun day!









Students and staff members donated 8+ inches of hair each to Children with Hair Loss during Positive Addiction last week. Thank you so much for ladies from What a Tease Salon in Elida for donating your time to cut for this cause!






67 students from Lima Central Catholic High School are being recognized for community service as National & State Award earners and as inspirations for other students to get involved in their community with 110 Unique Awards Earned!

The "Victoria Anne Moening Memorial Scholarship" recipient is selected by four members of Lima Central Catholic High School's staff. He/She is selected on criteria determined by Vicki's Husband, Dan Moening '74 and her three children Megan (Moening)Isenbarger '01, Monica (Moening) Donley '05 and Daniel Moening '10.
The student chosen leads a faith-based life, shows school spirit, and is willing to help others without being asked. The candidate will put others first, and leads by example in and outside the classroom.
This year's recipient of the scholarship is Emma Hunley. Emma has met and exceeded the requirements to receive this award. Her faith is important to her, and does not shy away from showing that. It is obvious each and every day, that she cares about all of the students and staff at Lima Central Catholic. She is a student who puts others first and makes sure that people are taken care of. We want to express our sincere congratulations to Emma and thank her for sharing her gifts with the school community, just like Vicki did!

Congratulations to Oli Bruno and Aidan Scheckelhoff for being recognized by the Shawnee Optimist Club! Oli Bruno earned 2nd place for his essay about his dad as his optimistic hero for the Shawnee Optimist Essay Contest. Aidan Scheckelhoff was awarded a scholarship for his entrance into the Shawnee Optimist Scholarship Competition. Impressive, gentlemen!

Yesterday we celebrated May Crowning and our last mass with the Class of 2023!





Congratulations to Oli Bruno for earning the St. Rita's Mercy Health Scholarship! He was one of 12 students out of 150 applicants who won this distinction. We're so proud of you, Oli! πππ»


The NHS book drive was a success. We were able to collect and drop off 6 big boxes of books for the students at St. Rose, St. Charles and St. Gerard's to enjoy. This is recycling at its best!!!





Congrats to 2023 BSN SPORTS WoW Senior Award Winner - Bridget Mulcahy! Bridget won by encompassing what it means to be a Women of Will Student Athlete: Will to Win, Excellent Athletic Performance, Superior Academics, Positive Sportsmanship, Strong Leadership & Impactful Community Service.


LCC participated in the Paint the Plow contest sponsored by ODOT. The design is by Josh Yahl . Great job T-Birds!





Congrats to Emma Hunley and Zac Cambell for being finalists in the Diocese of Toledo's Eucharistic Revival Youth Contest. They are two of the top three finalists out of 500 plus students who participated in the contest by writing an essay on, "What does the Eucharist mean to me?"

The marching band meeting regarding the St. Louis trip will still be happening tonight at 5pm in the Great Hall. This meeting is recommended for all Band members interested in Marching Band next year. We will be discussing the financials of the Marching Band trip next spring!
