LCC is proud to announce that Ms. Bonnie Brunelle will receive the prestigious Golden Apple Award after being chosen by the Diocese of Toledo as only one of nine winners. Ms. Brunelle, a 1998 alumna, is finishing her fifth year of teaching at LCC. The Golden Apple has been recognizing educators in the Diocese for 20 years. Past winners from LCC include: Mr. Eric Kuhlman, Mrs. Barb Schmiedebusch, Mrs.Nancy Bronder, Mrs. Deb Schenk and Dr. Rosalyn Liston.
Ms. Brunelle and the other recipients will be honored at a banquet in Toledo on May 27 where they each will be given a $5,000 cash award and an engraved Golden Apple as gifts of appreciation for their valuable contributions to Catholic education.

The Students of Students of Honor and Achievement Awards Program is sponsored by the Shawnee Optimist Club. This awards program is designed to recognize individuals who have displayed a desire to perform at their very best in everything they choose to do. As such, they are exceptional role models, exhibiting outstanding qualities as high school seniors. The award also recognizes those students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills inside and outside the classroom, in school and community volunteerism, academic accomplishments and have excelled in achieving many of the characteristics outlined in the Optimist Creed.
