Trudy Thompson, department chair of mathematics at LCC, just returned from a trip to Sacremento, CA for the MAA mathfest conference. She was one of 20 math teachers globally to win the Edith May Sliffe award which awards math teachers who promote math clubs and math contests at their schools.
