Thank you to all who attended the recent Lima Central Catholic Hall of Fame Induction and celebration marking the end of the Sustain-Retain-Enhance capital campaign to benefit the LCC Educational Foundation (LCCEF). The campaign ended with over six million dollars pledged to support the Lima Catholic Schools and the establishment of two new endowment funds.

The Educational Foundation exists to provide financial assistance so that any family can afford to provide a Catholic education for their children. The success of the campaign has tripled total tuition assistance and EVERY SINGLE LCC STUDENT benefited from some form of financial aid last year. By containing costs and offering tuition assistance, the out-of-pocket cost to families has not increased in five years.

The capital campaign also resulted in $500,000 pledged for the establishment of a Teacher Endowment Fund to help retain our extremely dedicated and qualified staff and offer salaries that are much closer to what they might earn at area public schools. This commitment by the LCCEF is extraordinary, especially as we seek to fill positions during a nationwide teacher shortage.

As we met with donors during the capital campaign, many expressed a passion for the arts and a desire to enhance our arts programming. An Arts Endowment Fund was created and pledges totaling approximately $200,000 have already been dedicated to achieve this goal.

It is truly heartwarming to recognize the contributions of our Hall of Fame members and to receive the generous support of so many in this community. On behalf of the LCCEF Capital Campaign Committee, the staff and students of Lima Central Catholic High School, I extend our sincere gratitude.
