All eighth grade students who plan to attend LCC, or who are considering attending LCC, are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT).

The exam takes approximately four hours and tests students in verbal and quantitative skills, reading, mathematics, language and science. The test results are considered, along with recommendations from the student’s eighth grade teachers, for placement into freshman classes at LCC. The HSPT Student Score Report also gives information about a student’s knowledge, skills, interests and plans.

Beginning in 2013, scholarship opportunities at LCC based on HSPT scores were made available. Renewable scholarships ranging in value up to $1500 annually are awarded to the top 10 scorers.

The next testing dates will be January 29th or February 5th at 8:30am at LCC. Registration for the test can be coordinated by scheduling HERE (1/29/22) or HERE (2/5/22) or by contacting the Guidance Office,  sjanowski@apps.lcchs.edu or (419) 222-1826 ext. 2015.
