Daily Mass & Sacraments

Through offering meaningful liturgy and prayer experiences, we hope to deepen the faith of our students and move them more fully into a life of discipleship. Celebration of the Eucharist is the heart of our faith and we have mass every week we are in school.

We celebrate Mass as an entire faith community on Thursdays at 9:35 in the old gym and in the morning before school on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays and Fridays of the month at 7:30 am in the chapel.

The sacrament of Reconciliation is made available to students at school-wide Penance services held during Advent and Lent.

It is important that our students be offered ways to actively engage in their faith life. Our students are invited to participate in Masses in a variety of ways, including becoming an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, singing or playing in the Praise & Worship Band, reading at mass, or being an active participant in the celebration.

We are fortunate to have daily pastoral support by our local Lima Catholic community priests. We also have a Campus Minister and two other full-time faculty who make up our Theology Department who are in the building every day, available to our students.

Morning Mass
7:30 a.m. the 2nd and 4th Tuesday & Friday of the month in the Our Lady of Ephesus Chapel

All School Mass
9:35 a.m. every Thursday in the Msgr. E.C. Herr Gym (Old Gym)

Daily Prayers
In addition to our Mass schedule, we observe an all school prayer during the morning announcements as well as a daily reflection during the afternoon announcements.

These prayers and reflections offer an opportunity for our students and staff to open themselves to the presence of God throughout their day.

Examples of several traditional Roman Catholic prayers can be found in the Student Handbook.
