Parish Scholarships

Each of the Lima Catholic parishes generously provides a tuition scholarship for their parishioners to attend LCC. One is considered a parishioner if he or she is a practicing Catholic, registered in the parish, active in the parish, and attends Mass on all holy days of obligation. Because one who believes in Jesus Christ wants and searches for a deeper relationship with Him, participation in the Eucharist is central to our faith life. An actively participating Catholic is expected not simply to attend Sunday Mass but also to provide some form of stewardship in the parish, financial or ministerial, and support at home the values we teach as a Catholic Community.

Our Catholic Schools exist to aid those who believe. Because the members of your parish recognize their responsibility to support this effort, they have agreed to provide an annual scholarship for each child who attends LCC and is active in the parish. Activity will be evaluated periodically by your parish and will continue throughout the school year unless the family’s status changes or the student withdraws from LCC. Should these standards pose excessive difficulties for your family, please feel free to contact your parish to discuss the matter.

The pastor of each parish ultimately decides upon the granting of parish scholarships based on their own criteria. To apply for a parish scholarship, contact your parish office or click here for an application form. Application forms must be completed and returned to your parish for approval by July 1 for the following school year.
