All eighth grade students who plan to attend LCC, or who are considering attending LCC, are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT).

The exam takes approximately four hours and tests students in verbal and quantitative skills, reading, mathematics, language and science. The test results are considered, along with recommendations from the student’s eighth grade teachers, for placement into freshman classes at LCC. The HSPT Student Score Report also gives information about a student’s knowledge, skills, interests and plans.

Beginning in 2013, scholarship opportunities at LCC based on HSPT scores were made available. Renewable scholarships ranging in value up to $1500 annually are awarded to the top Twenty-five scorers.

Registration for the test can be coordinated by contacting the Enrollment Office,  admissions@apps.lcchs.edu or (419) 222-4276 ext. 2108. The next testing date will be on July 11th at 8:30am.
