Welcome, parents and students to a great new school year. It's always nice to have a fresh start and meet new students and parents as well as to catch up with familiar faces.
My educational background began with graduation from Elida High School in 1971. I attended the Ohio State University and graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1975. I am presently working on a Master's degree in Life Science with a focus in Biology from Western Governor's University. My husband, Kevin, is a 1971 LCC grad. I have 4 daughters (Renee'97, Shannon'00, Megan'03, and Mallory'05), all of whom are LCC graduates and Ohio State Buckeyes. In addition, my daughter Megan has graduated from the Petit College of Law at Ohio Northern University. I am very proud of my daughters and all their accomplishments!
This is my 18th year at LCC after having taught at Spencerville, St. Gerard's, and substitute-teaching throughout Allen County. I have also coached swimming (Elida and Sherwood Park), volleyball (Spencerville, Shawnee, LCC, and Elida), basketball (Spencerville), and softball (Spencerville, Shawnee, and LCC). I am currently teaching Health, Freshman Biology, AP Biology, and serving as Assistant Athletic Director. You might also see me around the area working as a volleyball official and find me helping with the Sr. Class Play in the spring as choreographer (in honor of my parents who provided dance lessons for my sisters and I throughout our childhood and Barbara Lynne Lloyd, my dance instructor). Another place you might catch me is on the radio announcing UNOH volleyball games with Mike Mullen. I am an avid sports fan and love to follow the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns (yes, I know they're awful, but there's always hope) and, of course, the T-Birds. I am looking forward to another great year with my students. Go Birds!!!
I am going to try to be diligent in keeping up with weekly work on the web site. Occasionally I will put on worksheets, web sites, etc. students can use at their discretion to review what we are doing in class in addition to the work we do in class.
Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions or concerns.
