LCC Athletic Boosters

 

Mission Statement

The LCC Athletic Booster Club will assist the LCC Administration by providing and promoting a quality Athletic Program through active participation and financial support.

 

Goals

The LCC Athletic Boosters is an integral part of making self-funded athletics a reality at Lima Central Catholic.  The philosophy of self-funded athletics pledges that ZERO tuition dollars will be used to fund athletics; all athletic expenses are covered through gate receipts, concessions, 50/50 sales, booster membership and other booster fund-raising programs.  The following athletic booster programs account for most of our annual athletic budget: 

 

·         Athletic Booster Membership

·         K of C Fun Night Reverse Raffle – August; specifically supports the uniform and equipment expenses for LCC athletics

·         Athletic Booster Golf Outing – October @ Hawthorne Hills

·         Night at the Races – February; this has become one of the great fun-filled evenings of the year

·         Mulch Madness – Spring; this is the cornerstone of our fund-raising activities; sales begin in February with two major delivery dates in April and other deliveries extending into May.  This is a true community event where everyone can find a role in which to help.

 

These events as well as the other funds accumulated through athletic activities fund 100% of all athletic expenses for all LCC athletics grades 7-12.  With LCC’s entry into the Northwest Conference in 2006, St. Charles, St. Gerard and St. Rose combined their Jr. High athletics programs to form LCC Jr. High athletics, with LCC and the LCC Athletic Boosters assuming responsibility for all Jr. High athletic expenses as well as the high school.

Meetings are the 3rd Wed of each month 7:30 at the K of C
