PURPOSE
Founded in 2007, the LCC Academic Booster Club is a partnership among administration, faculty, parents, students and the community which supports, promotes and celebrates academic excellence at LCC.
PROGRESS
Dine-Out Program
Your support this year earned $637.97 to purchase needed items from the faculty wish list. Thank you to our Dine-Out participants: Happy Daz, Romeo’s, Old Barn Out Back, and Captain D’s. The Dine-Out Program will resume in September.
Fundraising
$6,720 has been received for the purchase of religion textbooks. Thank you to the individuals and organizations who have contributed so far!

*2010 Ohio Graduation Test Results
The Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) is a 5 part test administered to all Ohio Sophomores and is a requirement for high school graduation. It is the only standardized test that compares academic performance of public and private high school students. For the March 2010 test, LCC excelled in this assessment tool:
· Writing – 100% passed
· Social Studies– 100% passed
· All 5 parts – 84% passed
· Highest scores in Allen County

*LCC Wins “Don Bachman Award of Excellence”
The Annual Northwest Conference “Don Bachman Award of Excellence” recognizes the conference school that exhibits the highest level of consistent excellence in conference-sponsored sports and scholastic bowl competition. In capturing its fourth straight “Don Bachman Award”, LCC won outright conference titles in Scholastic Bowl, Golf, and Boys’ Basketball and shared the NWC crown in Baseball. Congratulations to all who participated on an athletic and/or scholastic bowl team.

One hundred five students were awarded diplomas at the 54th Annual Commencement Ceremony held on May 30, 2010 at the Msgr. Herr Athletic Center and Gymnasium. LCC is proud to report that 98% of the graduating class will further their education at a college or university. Additionally, the class of 2010 has earned $513,845 in scholarships! Congratulations to the LCC class of 2010!

LCC Academic Letter Program
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who achieve the requisite cumulative GPA at the end of the third quarter of an academic year can earn an Academic Letter. Students earning an Academic Letter also qualify to participate in the Honors Career Mentorship Program. The Academic Booster Club hosted a dessert awards ceremony on April 27 to honor this year’s Academic Letter recipients.
